Playtech Shares Rally 18% on Strong H1 Financial Performance
Olga LiLondon-listed gambling technology provider Playtech posted an outstanding financial performance for the first half of 2026, significantly outperforming initial market consensus. Driven by accelerating commercial expansion across regulated international jurisdictions, the company reported an adjusted EBITDA exceeding €155 million for the six months ending 30 June. In response to this strong momentum, corporate leadership elevated its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance to at least €270 million, which represents an impressive 37% year-on-year increase. Following the trading update published on 9 July, Playtech shares experienced a major double-digit rally, jumping by as much as 18% to trade at 378.60p, with intraday charts showing brief peaks above £3.80.
