LeoVegas Got Its Gambling License Expanded

LeoVegas has been certified to provide gambling services in Sweden since the very launch of the regulated market in the country. Now, the gambling license of this operator has been expanded to 5 years.

LeoVegas was among the first approved by the Swedish authorities to operate in the country. The group's license was first available for two years.

However, this decision has recently been reconsidered and LeoVegas's license was expanded to five years, which is the maximum period of time the company can be certified, according to Swedish betting legislation.

“It feels great and right that we got our license extended to five years. Following our efforts within compliance and experience from other regulated markets, the decision from the Administrative Court is an affirmation that we conduct a professional and responsible operation. The extended license gives us confidence in the Swedish licensing system and the Swedish market where we continue to take market shares. We see that several smaller players have already left the Swedish market and at the same time marketing has declined since the turn of the year,” says Gustaf Hagman, Group CEO.

What is more, LeoVegas has recently updated welcome offers for Sweden and other Scandinavian countries.
