  • Board

    Poker

    1) In hold'em, the 5 cards placed face up which can be used by any player;

    2) In stud, a player's face up cards.

  • Rolled Up

    Poker

    In stud poker, a three of a kind made with the first three cards. A very powerful starting hand.

  • Down Card

    Casino

    A card dealt face down, i.e. hidden from other players.

  • Row Bet

    Roulette

    A bet on three numbers on one of the 12 rows or streets. Pays 11 to 1. Also known as a street bet.

  • Front Line Winner

    Craps

    A pass line bet won on the come-out roll.

    Synonym: Line Away

  • Rien Ne Vas Plus

    Roulette

    French term ("nothing goes") meaning that no more bets will be accepted.

  • Ace-deuce

    Craps

    A roll of a 1 (ace) and a 2 (deuce).

  • Five-card Charlie

    Blackjack

    A five-card blackjack hand that hasn't busted, i.e. go over 21.

  • Progression Betting

    Casino

    A system of changing a player's bet size from round to round based on various criteria. Better known as progressive betting. Examples include the Martingale and D'Alembert Systems.

  • Slots Drop and Hold

    Slots

    Drop: the amount of money wagered. Hold: the amount of money won by the casino.
