SlotsMillion Forecasts Major Breakthrough to the Virtual Reality in the Nearest Future

SlotsMillion forecasts major changes in the casino industry in the nearest future. According to the virtual reality research ordered by the brand, 92% of people heard about this technology, while 23% of them experienced it. This results of the survey demonstrates that the demands of customers are changing rapidly causing the industry to evolve.

Opinium, the award-winning insight agency, surveyed 2,000 people. The research shows that more than half of their respondents have tried the virtual reality. Out of them 40% are aged 18 to 34; 24% of those who answered positively are ages 35 to 54 years, and 10% of people are over 55.

“Once headsets and the related technology becomes more affordable, the interest and experience levels will continue to rise sharply.”

Approximately 15% of the respondents experienced VR technology one or several times, while 6% of the surveyed audience has spent up to 24 hours in it.

Interest to VR Will Strengthen in Future

This conclusion is backed up by figures, which show that 18-34-year-olds are willing to invest  £134  into VR, while people over 55 are ready to spend £74 on it. Another significant fact is there is not much difference between gender preferences. While 72% of those interested in expansion of the new technology are men, women are only 12% behind.

Alexandre Tomic, SlotsMillions CEO, comments:  “Our research proves that the critical initial phase of developing awareness has been achieved and it’s really only a lack of opportunity to try a VR headset that is holding many back from taking that step. Once headsets and the related technology becomes more affordable, I fully expect the interest and experience levels to continue to rise sharply.

We can use VR to create beautiful, vivid encounters that are more colorful and life-like than real life. It has the power to transport us to another world and – as we are demonstrating with our VR casino SlotsMillion – be in two places at once.”

It is worth noting that 28% of respondents would like to use software for travelling, watching TV, and playing games in Virtual Reality. At the same time, 16% of people prefer to watch live music concerts, and 14% of asked wish to take part in sports with VR technology.
