Online Gambling is Coming to Alberta, Canada
The Canadian province of Alberta plans to start online gambling operation before the end of 2015. This announcement was made by Finance Minister Robin Campbell at the spring convention of the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties. In February, the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission has opened a tender for online gambling software providers.
The main goal for this plan is to capture a part of the $150m that Albertans now spend on online gambling with internationally accredited sites. Currently, there are more than 490 online casinos that accept players from Canada in the KeyToCasino database.
