AI Integration Highlights New Malta Gaming Authority Oversight Strategy

The Malta Gaming Authority has integrated artificial intelligence into its regulatory processes to enhance licence applicant screening and identify risks within operator data. According to its Annual Report and Financial Statements, published on 7 July 2026, the regulator employs AI across two primary areas, maintaining strict human verification for every automated alert. The first implementation operates within criminal probity checks, scanning seed data submitted during the application phase to flag anomalies. MGA staff then review these flags against regional jurisdictions and internal risk criteria. The second application involves processing regular Industry Performance Returns submitted by operators, where the technology detects underlying patterns and operational discrepancies faster than manual reviews, providing supervisors with early risk indicators.

RubyPlay Buys Splash Tech to Expand Platform Engagement Tools

RubyPlay Buys Splash Tech to Expand Platform Engagement Tools

#GamingDeals  #SoftwareLab

The contemporary iGaming supplier landscape increasingly dictates that B2B providers compete heavily on engagement infrastructure rather than game content alone, driving studios to build versatile promotional tooling across multiple game providers. Addressing this market demand, RubyPlay has officially entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Splash Tech. This transaction, financed entirely on an all-shares basis, marks the first step by the Malta Gaming Authority licensed studio beyond traditional game creation into platform-level engagement solutions. This major corporate acquisition comes less than a year after industry veteran Tsachi Maimon assumed the role of chief executive at the company on 1 October 2025. While the specific financial terms of the transaction were not publicly disclosed, the completion of the deal remains subject to standard regulatory approvals, after which Splash Tech will operate fully as a subsidiary.

The sites within the owner’s list are licensed in Malta and the head office is located at Villa Seminia 8, Sir Temi Zammit Avenue, Ta Xbiex, XBX 1011, Malta. Since 2008, the firm has been promoting its online locations through Star Partner Affiliate Program. Newcomers get up to 60% commission upon joining the plan, 50% and 40% revenue share in the two following months respectively. There are flat rates and no negative carry-over.

Owner’s Portfolio

The VPL Group’s pool of gambling destinations contains 12 titles: Aus, 777 Dragon, Casino UK, Maple, Cinema, Aspinalls, Sun Vegas, Crazy Poker, River Nile, and more. We represent two out of the whole bunch – Golden Riviera and Crazy Vegas. The two are available in various languages like English, German, French, Russian, and Golden Riviera adds Swedish. There are no extra betting options. Games can be downloaded or played online.

Crazy Vegas is fully based on Microgaming software while the second operator has some additions in the instant play version like Net Entertainment, NYX, BetSoft, Next Generation Gaming, Yggdrasil, Red Tiger, and Genii. The overall number of games is almost identical at both sites – about 550 releases.

Promotions and Bonuses

Both destinations share a similar welcome package that contains a few bonuses on the first deposits and adds a certain number of free spins also. All promotions do not require coupon codes and are cashable upon meeting the wagering conditions. Those vary from 4xB and 40xB up to 50xB. Arcades and slot machines contribute the most, and video poker with table games count less than 10% towards the playthrough requirements.

Our Take

Vegas Partners Lounge Group is the company that runs a large list of websites, some of which provide a Poker room. Almost every of the 12 locations have a good reputation among users and portals that have rated the services high scores.

Clients are mostly satisfied with the help desk crew and the withdrawal timing; some, however, complain about the lack of bonuses. Great variety of games and established software is the biggest advantage here.
