Beyond the Metrics: RocketPlay Captures the Human Side of iGaming

In the iGaming industry, success is typically measured in stark statistics: deposits, conversion rates, and player retention. However, focusing purely on these numbers often obscures a more vital narrative: the genuine, human experiences of players—how they find enjoyment, build habits, and integrate gaming into their daily routines. RocketPlay Casino recently undertook a unique community project to look past the data and directly capture this authentic perception of online gaming.

Recognizing a significant gap in conventional industry reports, the RocketPlay team sought to move beyond mere performance indicators. While metrics are abundant, detailed, first-hand accounts of player habits and their approach to fun were scarce. To address this, the casino launched a survey aimed at exploring how players approach online gaming and add moments of fun to their lives.

The response was overwhelming. Within just a few weeks, approximately 1,500 responses were collected. The input varied dramatically, ranging from brief notes on how players enjoy winding down with a slot in the evening to lengthy, detailed narratives of gameplay that resembled personal strategy guides. No two answers were alike; many respondents described personal rituals, preferred times for spinning, or specific favorite slots, collectively demonstrating the vast and varied ways people engage with games for enjoyment.

“We were amazed by how open and thoughtful our community was,” said Alex Martin, PR Manager at RocketPlay Casino. “The honesty and detail went far beyond what we expected, and we’re grateful for their openness. I believe this gave us an even deeper connection with our community, turning stories into insights we can measure.”

Each submission offered a vibrant depiction of the modern gaming experience—the blend of fun, chance, and simple enjoyment. The collected stories became a warm, collective memory of fun time: dozens of tips, hundreds of personal stories, and countless small details. Initially, the team behind RocketPlay had no plans to publish the insights. However, the sheer quality and personal nature of the responses led them to compile the answers into an exclusive collection they named RocketWisdom.

While the team does not currently plan to make the book publicly available, they are exploring ways to keep the material connected to the community through future collaborations or special projects. For the current owner Hollycorn N,V,'s leadership, the key takeaway is clear: engaging in a genuine dialogue with players provides inspiration for every new activity and development launched. Asking questions and listening to player stories reveals more than any number can show. This project has become a permanent record of how people genuinely enjoy gaming, and their stories and habits will undoubtedly shape the future direction of RocketPlay’s community projects. For some, gaming is a quiet moment of focus; for others, it's a way to decompress or connect with friends. Data provides direction, but it is these human emotions and daily rituals that bring the industry to life.
