AI Integration Highlights New Malta Gaming Authority Oversight Strategy

The Malta Gaming Authority has integrated artificial intelligence into its regulatory processes to enhance licence applicant screening and identify risks within operator data. According to its Annual Report and Financial Statements, published on 7 July 2026, the regulator employs AI across two primary areas, maintaining strict human verification for every automated alert. The first implementation operates within criminal probity checks, scanning seed data submitted during the application phase to flag anomalies. MGA staff then review these flags against regional jurisdictions and internal risk criteria. The second application involves processing regular Industry Performance Returns submitted by operators, where the technology detects underlying patterns and operational discrepancies faster than manual reviews, providing supervisors with early risk indicators.

RubyPlay Buys Splash Tech to Expand Platform Engagement Tools

RubyPlay Buys Splash Tech to Expand Platform Engagement Tools

#GamingDeals  #SoftwareLab

The contemporary iGaming supplier landscape increasingly dictates that B2B providers compete heavily on engagement infrastructure rather than game content alone, driving studios to build versatile promotional tooling across multiple game providers. Addressing this market demand, RubyPlay has officially entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Splash Tech. This transaction, financed entirely on an all-shares basis, marks the first step by the Malta Gaming Authority licensed studio beyond traditional game creation into platform-level engagement solutions. This major corporate acquisition comes less than a year after industry veteran Tsachi Maimon assumed the role of chief executive at the company on 1 October 2025. While the specific financial terms of the transaction were not publicly disclosed, the completion of the deal remains subject to standard regulatory approvals, after which Splash Tech will operate fully as a subsidiary.

The company develops its own games and provides gambling solutions for various players. The group of titles includes almost 40 locations that are licensed under the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man, and the UK.

The majority of platforms allow downloading the client, which contains releases fully by Cozy Games software. The instant play features titles by Microgaming and Eyecon. Many are Bingo rooms, and some are virtual casinos like Pocket, Slotmatic, Grimms, and a few others.

There is an affiliate program – Cozy Partners, which provides the Net revenue sharing plans, as well as CPA, CPL, and hybrid options. There is a commission of 20% that is rewarded upon creating an account, which can grow up to 50%.

Owner’s Portfolio

We represent less than ten casinos out of the Cozy Games Management pool. Among them are VIP Club, Slotmatic, Windfall, Grimms, Pocket, Gates, Lucky Gold, Magix, and Aunty Acid. None of those provide additional betting options or live dealers.

All are available in English only and have no target audience. The overall number of games in the desktop version is about 50; all of those are powered by the company’s own software studio. The online play grants up to 150 titles from Microgaming and Eyecon.

Promotions and Bonuses

All gambling destinations share a common welcome package that is divided into several initial payments, the ongoing promotions, and a no-deposit deal. All offerings are non-cashable and do not require voucher codes. The wager varies from 5 xB up to 30 xB, and 30 xBD for some proposals. Arcades and slot machines count towards the playthrough rules the most, and table play with video poker games contributing very little – less than 10%.

Our Take

Cozy Games Management Limited is the company that runs a tremendous number of sites, the majority of which are Bingo rooms. Other destinations do not provide extra gaming offers, as well as no live dealers. The ratings are medium, as users are happy with the bonus selection, but have minor complaints about slow payouts, and a small range of games.
