Quickfire, a popular distribution platform designed by Microgaming, is now operated by another company, as Microgaming has decided to sell it. It is expected that the new owner will bring novelty and diversification to the content distributed through this aggregator.

Microgaming says in its press release that this idea to give Quickfire to another company has been in the making for some time, and now it is official. Quickfire is now operated by Games Global Limited.

This is a relatively new company in charge with CEO Walter Bugno, formerly of IGT and Lottomatica, and CFO Tim Mickley, previously of SafeCharge and Playtech. Gaming Global is still in the process of acquiring gambling licenses, and it should be certified by Q2 2022. Having an extended customer base that contains more than 900 brands is a very promising start for a newly established company. Moreover, numerous games, including jackpot hits, are at disposal of Gaming Global Limited.

Despite the change in the owner, certain aspects of the Quickfire platform will still be maintained by Microgaming. This industry giant will still be working on the development and certification of the sports betting technology.

John Coleman, CEO at Microgaming, comments: “This is an exciting deal that has been in the making for some time which will provide new growth and opportunity for both Microgaming and Games Global. We are making the announcement now to provide sufficient notice and clarity for our partners and stakeholders."

Meanwhile, Microgaming continues to extend the network of independent studios that deliver content to its portfolio. One of the new partners is Gold Coin Studios that debuted with Arthur’s Gold slot in summer 2021.

Moreover, its jackpot networks make new millionaires regularly. Some of the latest grand prizes were paid out in autumn. Both Mega Moolah and WowPot jackpot networks were involved in that.

ABOUT QUICKFIRE

Quickfire was one of the first distribution platforms in the gaming world. It was created by Microgaming and first featured games provided by this company only. However, this aggregator evolved with time, and it now contains more than 400 titles by different studios, including NextGen, Quickspin, Genesis Games, RabCat, All41 Studios, and many others.

Quickfire does not focus on video slots only. There is also a variety of table games, video poker, and scratch cards. This platform adapts to innovation, so players can have access to games not only on desktop but in a user-friendly mobile app as well.
