AI Integration Highlights New Malta Gaming Authority Oversight Strategy

The Malta Gaming Authority has integrated artificial intelligence into its regulatory processes to enhance licence applicant screening and identify risks within operator data. According to its Annual Report and Financial Statements, published on 7 July 2026, the regulator employs AI across two primary areas, maintaining strict human verification for every automated alert. The first implementation operates within criminal probity checks, scanning seed data submitted during the application phase to flag anomalies. MGA staff then review these flags against regional jurisdictions and internal risk criteria. The second application involves processing regular Industry Performance Returns submitted by operators, where the technology detects underlying patterns and operational discrepancies faster than manual reviews, providing supervisors with early risk indicators.

RubyPlay Buys Splash Tech to Expand Platform Engagement Tools

RubyPlay Buys Splash Tech to Expand Platform Engagement Tools

The contemporary iGaming supplier landscape increasingly dictates that B2B providers compete heavily on engagement infrastructure rather than game content alone, driving studios to build versatile promotional tooling across multiple game providers. Addressing this market demand, RubyPlay has officially entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Splash Tech. This transaction, financed entirely on an all-shares basis, marks the first step by the Malta Gaming Authority licensed studio beyond traditional game creation into platform-level engagement solutions. This major corporate acquisition comes less than a year after industry veteran Tsachi Maimon assumed the role of chief executive at the company on 1 October 2025. While the specific financial terms of the transaction were not publicly disclosed, the completion of the deal remains subject to standard regulatory approvals, after which Splash Tech will operate fully as a subsidiary.

It operates 17 casinos overall, each of which offers a downloadable client, an online version, and a mobile adaptation that doesn’t require users to upload an app. The main software provider is Microgaming, with some additional studios like SkillonNet, Net Entertainment, Next Generation Gaming, NYX, Bally Interactive, and Lighting Box Games.

There are also a few poker rooms that are part of the Prima Network, which is one of the largest communities in the world at over 500,000 registered players.

The company’s affiliate program is known as Wagershare, which represents all the brands within the e-gaming fellowship. It pays revenue share commissions to affiliates who advertise any of the websites. The rewards are up to 50% for participants.

Owner’s Portfolio

We currently represent three titles from within the Bayton Ltd. community – other names will soon be added – which are Cool Hand Poker, Home, and Aces High. Each site offers live dealers and other types of games, as well.

Each casino features a multi-language option, which contains English, Finnish, German, Swedish, and Norwegian. Jackpot City also offers French, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Bulgarian, and Polish. It also presents releases from Microgaming, comprising about 500 items in all.

Another two titles on our list offer around 160 games by SkillonNet available in downloadable mode, and about 300 in instant play, also powered by Williams Interactive, Evolution Gaming, NYX, and Net Entertainment.

Slot machines, as well as table games, are just as well presented, with fewer arcades and very few video poker releases. All the gambling destinations cover a large number of currencies and a vast list of banking options that will suit players from around the world.

Promotions and Bonuses

The Bayton crew mostly offers their players match bonuses. Welcome offers consist of one or more match offers on top of a user’s first few deposits, and usually 100% match is proposed. However, Simba Games and Prime also reward with up to 150 free spins on specified games.

These two names also offer bonuses that require promo codes and are cashable, with the wager being 30 xBD. Jackpot City features promotions that don’t call for coupon codes, and can also be simply cashed out with winnings. The rollover requirements here are 50 xB. Slot machines and arcades count towards playthrough rules the most, while video poker and table games are not subject to wagering at all.

Our Take

The owner runs a large community of titles with 17 online gambling operators, three of which are presented in our database. They offer two types of betting options – classic games and a few poker rooms. Its trustworthy services have earned the status of “Very Good”, and mid to high ratings at reputable portals. Users are satisfied with the software providers, game diversity, and helpful client support crew.
