    Odds. KeyToCasino.

The ratio of the chances of winning versus those of losing. The odds of rolling a 7 on two dice are 1 to 6 (6 out of 36 outcomes); an alternate phrasing is 6 to 1 against. Odds against reflect the likelihood that a particular event will not happen. In gambling, Odds against means a bet where you will receive a return of more than double your stake. The profit on the bet will be more than your stake.

In any event, every outcome has a chance or likelihood of taking place. Odds are simply an interpretation of those chances. In gambling, odds represent the ratio between the amounts staked by the bookmaker and the player to bet. The bookmakers form odds or prices to reflect those chances. Most online bookmakers give you the option of which type of odds you want to use. Odds of 6 to 1 mean the bookmaker stakes six times the amount that the player does. Gambling odds of '6 to 1' mean that there are six possible outcomes in which the event will not take place to every one where it will. In other words, the probability that the event will not happen is six times the probability that it will.

    Casino

On Tilt. A poker player who loses control. KeyToCasino.

Tilt is a poker term for frustration. A player who loses control of their emotions (usually after losing badly), becomes aggressive towards the fellow players and bets wildly is said to be "on tilt".

Placing an opponent on tilt or dealing with being on tilt oneself is one of the crucial aspects of poker. Some players deliberately choose the tactics of placing the opponents on tilt by pretending to be drunk, annoying the players by making strange noises or stupid comments, blaming the players for bad hands, etc. In theory, this tactics is supposed to have monetary positive expectation as the players on tilt tend to play poorly. Poker experts recognize the situation when they are close to being on tilt and try to avoid it. For the new player, a skill to minimize being on tilt is one of the most important improvements that can be made in play.

    Examples:

After losing the third hand in a raw, John went on tilt and got his whole bankroll taken.

When I feel close to being on tilt, I quit the game and go home.
