  • Blackjack

    Blackjack

    An ace and a face card or 10, dealt as the first two cards to a player or the dealer. An unbeatable hand that pays 3 to 2 to the player (as long as the dealer doesn't also have a blackjack).

  • Bet Max

    SlotsVideo Poker

    The maximum amount that can be bet on a play or spin. Casinos offer the best payouts to encourage betting the max.

    Synonym: Big Bet

  • Buried

    Poker

    1) A card dealt face down;

    2) A card placed so deep in the deck it won't be played that hand;

    3) A description of a player with heavy losses.

  • Big Eight

    Craps

    An even-money bet that an 8 will be rolled before a 7. A sucker bet since a place bet on the 8 wins exactly the same way, but pays more.

  • Broadway

    Poker

    AKQJ10, in most games the highest possible straight.

  • Bust

    Blackjack

    Going over a total of 21 in blackjack, an automatic loss for the player.

  • Bonus Abuse

    Casino

    Taking advantage of bonus offers with the sole intention of making a profit.  Since players' true intentions are not known to anyone but themselves, the term has no rigorous definition. Some casinos use this vague term as an excuse to void players' winnings.
